Beautiful Dress - but I had to reluctantly stick it in my Bargain Bin....

So here's the deal - I LOVE my new dress.  I call it my spaced out tank.  I made it using 3 beautiful images by a very talented spray paint artist.

So how did this turn out on a real outfit?  Beautifully!

So why bargain bin beauty like this?  Well I'm very particular.  It's not just aesthetics that determine my pricing but things like who made the mesh, what they allow and ALSO quality and sizes available.  I just don't feel right charging my usual rates for stuff that doesn't fit "standard sizing" at the very least or on the bonus side offering support for mesh bodies.  That being said, I was wearing Venus in this shot so it's not like it won't fit if you give it a chance.

And it does have three variations like you see above in HUD format!

I'm starting this lil thing off at L$75 in the bargain bin!

Minor Protest regarding Price Fixing in Second Life

I know this will fall on deaf ears - but maybe someone will share it and it will go viral in Second Life and make a difference.  That being said - due to the issues with full perm creators getting kicked off of second life right now - I really hope this isn't what happened to them.

So here is my rant, and it's a rant, so if you dislike rants, skip this particular installment.  The next ones won't be so ranty.

I don't like rules that tell me how I can and can't price items.

I am a new designer and ultimately my work may not be as good as someone who has been in Second Life creating for quite some time.  I do not feel that customers should have to pay as high of a premium price for my work as my competitors just yet.  I need to get the word out and advertise but I am working against a significant barrier to business.

Secondly, it's illegal for anyone to control my prices but me where I live in RL.  This practice of getting competitors to agree to any type of pricing scheme is called price fixing, and it's illegal in the US.  As such it should be against the TOS of Linden Labs who as far as I am aware, still operates in the United States.

It is fine for mesh makers and other people to set the rates for THEIR work.  What I pay them is up to them.  But what I charge is not and should not be their concern or that of my competitors.

However, until such rules are set aside, I hate to be unfair to people and break these illegal rules.  I can just protest against them and abide by them until they are released.  That's my two cents.

So today I skipped ahead and released yet another item.

My Linen Love blouse.  And yes it is entirely meant to be a pun on "Linden Love" that you hear requested almost everywhere in second life.  Now you can wear Linen love around with you and giggle about it.

There is a demo both on marketplace and in my Vendors.  Which reminds me I need to go set my in-world vendors to active before I leave here for the day.  

I hope you love this new top.  It shows off the girls a bit, but not too badly.  I thought about designing a shirt for under it but that was proving to be pricey, so I'll just recommend an applier under it or just enjoying the freedom.

I started making hangers for my own clothing so I could show it off better in my store and it turns out I'm good at knocking them out efficiently.  They look beautiful on a prim - it's almost as good as hanging your mesh.

Customizeable with your logo and any color/fabric on the hanger that you like.  Already have a hanger or hate my hanger?  We can quote changing the shape of the hanger to a different one.

The general price is about L$100/item but I do discounts for multi-packs submitted at once so contact me for an estimate.  Clothing must be provided (it can be no copy/no mod or any permission you like as long as I can wear it).  I do both male and female clothing.

September Releases

I know I'm going to scoop some of my bloggers but I really wanted to show you my new stuff first!

Basically we've got some mesh denim, a mesh knotted tank and some mesh flip flops.  The tank and the flip flops coordinate with beautiful images taken by Mary Ann Melton.  This starts my "Artful Series."  They are called my Artfully Knotted Tank and my Artful Flops.  The idea behind this series is that each month I will select an artist to integrate their art into second life via clothing.  Who will I pick next?  Weigh in and let me know if you have any ideas. I prefer abstract and nature art.  

All of the items are customizable via HUD.
